New England Coffee Co. Review

I love the delicious aroma of coffee despite being a tea lover. I still enjoy my flavored coffees though and was more than happy to review New England Coffee Co's newest line of dark roast coffees because I had the perfect person in mind to test these babies out on! The Dark Roast line of coffee is made from 100% Arabica beans which are roasted at higher temperatures for longer periods of time which results in the darker color and a full bodied, low-acidity coffee with intense flavor.

New England Coffee Co started in 1916 in Malden, Massachusetts by the collaboration of two families. To this day, they have grown to become New England's largest independent coffee roaster and you can find their products in all sorts of stores, coffee shops, hotels, campuses and so on. Four generations later, they are still family owned and pumping out the same great quality coffee they have been making since 1916.

San Francisco Blend –“a rich, aromatic French Roast with the distinct flavors of medium-roasted coffees from the East Indies and Central America”
Columbian Supremo Dark Roast –“ roasted medium brown, with just a trace of this superb coffee’s natural oils on the surface of the bean”
French Roast –“ dark roast that is rich and aromatic accompanied by a smooth flavor that is ideal for either drip-brewing or espresso”

The Review: Despite not being a big coffee drinker, as the coffee was brewing, it smelt just absolutely heavenly. Eventually, I was unable to resist and ended up drinking some! I liked all of them and wasn't able to decide on a favorite flavor. My SO, the coffee drinker of the house drinks about 3 coffees a day, at least. So I figured, between the two of us, we could make a pretty good decision regarding the taste. I asked him to compare the coffee he normally drinks to New England Coffee. LOL, enjoy my interview…
  • Me: How do you like your coffee?
  • Him: Coffee tastes like s**t. You know I drink coffee purely for the caffeine content.
  • Me: How about these ones (New England Coffee)?
  • Him: They definitely taste better than the ones we usually get!
Case closed. New England Coffee newest line of Dark Roast coffees makes for a wonderful addition to anyone’s morning regime. With Father's Day coming up, this would be a treat for dads who love coffee!

I have never heard of New England Coffee before your review. When we think of coffee, Seattle and the West Coast just seem to come to mind. I will definitely have to give this one a try.
