I seem to be on a roll with healthy snacks lately! Here's the latest one. Nuts carry a lot of good nutrients in them and are always a good, healthy snack. I was sent Roasted Salted Pecans, Garlic Almonds, Candied Walnuts, and Candied Pecans to try from Sante Nuts.
I have to admit, I normally eat plain almonds and I do love those Hawaiian flavored nuts but I don't ever really go out just to buy them either. So, 4 packs of flavored nuts are kind of an exciting new take on nuts for me. Sante Nuts was a family grown concept, created by Sara. Sara had learnt a secret roasting technique from her grandmother who roasted nuts in the kitchen for yummy treats. Sara continued the tradition with her own kids and when she became a single-mom 6 years ago and needed to make ends meet, her brilliant son suggested: "Mom, you should sell those nuts you make for us." I'm glad he did or else, I wouldn't have been able to try these delectable snacks out at all!
Besides eating them plain, you can find a variety of recipes online in which you can incorporate into your daily lives such as the Walnut Chicken Salad. Mmmm...it really adds variety to your food not to mention a great addition to any gift basket you may be putting together for any food lover this holiday season! You can buy a set to give or even just split them up into several different gift packages. Before I forget, these nuts are all natural, gluten-free, and kosher; meaning you can share the love and not worry about food restrictions!
