Seafood is sooooo good! I love it, just don't have the time to cook it and that's why Gorton's Seafood is so great! Plus, i have a great promotion to share with you. Have you heard about Gorton’s “Fisherman’s Friday” that is on from now until May 8th?
Well, Gorton’s is giving away >100 weekly prizes on “Fisherman’s Friday” and a grand prize. Together, these prizes are worth nearly $10,000!
In celebration of that and with Gorton's trying to shed their image of a “fish stick” company, they've sent me two product coupons to which I could get any frozen Gorton's seafood product to try. And, I've got extras, 2 coupons for 3 of my lovely readers too!
It was so hard to choose because I love seafood and my eyes kept wandering between the grilled shrimp and the Shrimp Scampi. The SO and I couldn't resist the pull and ended up using both our coupons on that. And we don't regret it one bit. Each box contains about 3 servings and each serving is only 120 calories, so its pretty good. I believe most of the calories is probably in the sauce. This was actually pretty interesting to cook. I wish I had taken a before picture when it was frozen because it looked kind of like battered shrimp but when they started to cook in the skillet, the part that looks like batter melts off and becomes the sauce. Its a rich, thick and creamy sauce that was so tasty! I kept taste testing while it was simmering. We did end up finishing both boxes in one meal. Eek...it was that good and we can't wait to try out other Gorton's products. Maybe, we'll win some in their weekly giveaways! Buy It: Shop in stores for Gorton's Seafood products. The Shrimp Scampi sells for $9.49. Their products ranged from about $5-$10 in stores.
Win It: 3 Whirlwind of Surprises' reader will win 2 product coupons for any frozen Gorton's Seafood products (approximately $20 value) for themselves. Come back to enter the giveaway! I love their shrimp scampi, too. And you're right about how it looks before you cook it, but then melts into that great sauce.
