A Little Adds Up to a Lot...Convert your coins with #NoFeeCoinstar #CBias

I always saw the Coinstar machine when I went grocery shopping but recently had the opportunity to try it out before my usual exploits at Stop & Shop. How do you usually convert your coins, or are they overflowing your coin jar? I've never believed in using these coin conversion machines because when I remember one of my friends using one with his crazy amount of change and he was charged a hefty proportion in exchange. At the time, I thought that I'd rather just spend the change slowly. Don't get me wrong though, I really hate having random pennies, nickels and dimes lying around...they're just so bulky!

You know what prompted me to test it out? I've always wanted to but was afraid of the fees that it'd incur... I had found out via #CBias about the #NoFEECoinstar program, where you select to exchange your coins for a gift card! And there are so many gift card choices, one being the Stop & Shop gift card. Talk about making it convenient for you to go shopping with it afterwards. With all these Coinstar options, you don't have to worry about a 9.8% fee. This works in everyone's favor and you're sure to find a favorite within the various options available which include Starbucks, Chili's, Lowes and many more. You could turn your spare change into a gift card for someone!

The sweet thing is that you're getting rid of your change and making use of it without losing anything. In the end, its still your own money so there's no gain there but at the same time, no loss either. The only thing I was unsure about was the $5 minimum. There was really a point in time where the counter was at 4.89 and all the coins were already dropped down from the upper shelf and I was thinking to myself...uh oh! Luckily, it was still counting everything underneath and I did pretty good from the pile of change I had at home. I had change everywhere...my pockets, bags, purses...etc...unlike the SO, who keeps saving his change in a pasta jar, much more organized. LOL...I should buy him a piggy bank. ;)

I had a grocery list to go by today but ended up buying much more than was on there. Stop & Shop is my go-to grocery store. I love how they're open late and have parking! With my mission to convert coins to cash, this trip was a fun adventure. I was so excited and happy trying to cash out funds from Coinstar that a child approached and started watching.



Overall, its a convenience to have a Coinstar around so that you can convert your coins, whether into a cash voucher or gift card. Its nice that there are these Coinstar features but who wouldn't benefit from from a No Fee Gift Card? To me, it seems much more sensible to avoid the fee and just go for the gift card because we all have to eat, right?
