He never wanted anything and I didn't know what to get him that he wouldn't find useless...When we were little, we bought him a bag of green apples because he likes to eat them. Pamper dad with a cup of coffee and a newspaper in the morning. Before you launch into the honey do jar.

On Father's day, we give Dad a whole day of pampering. I help the kids to make sure Dad has a happy day. They give him breakfast in bed, do all his normal chores around the house, let him watch his favourite stuff on TV and take him to his favourite restaurant for dinner. It is always a great day and my Husband really appreciates the effort.

Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity. ~Pauline

All of the kids should get together and and do all of the yard work for a week. We did that and my Dad didn't know what to do with himself for the week that we did that.

My dad is also hard to buy for. :) We just try to give him all his favorite foods and a pleasant day. He loves being with his family.

If my dad was still here I would make him his favorite meal and take him to the ballpark to see his favorite baseball team play a double header!

I just let him relax and decide what he would like to do. Usually he wants to see a movie and had nice dinner out with me. Thank you for the nice contest! leaguebet@gmail.com

My dad is pretty simply - all he needs is burgers on the grill and his family around!

My best tip to pamper dad is to serve his b'fast in bed.

We are taking my dad to a baseball game! He will be in Heaven!

For my dad it would be waking up at 4am and heading out to fish for a few hours, then coming home and enjoying some family time while BBQing.

For my husband it would be a semi-quiet day not having to do anything but tinker around on the computer.

Plan to ask him what HE wants to do for his day OFF. Not what he wants US to do FOR him.... Because it always ends up being about what we want FOR him instead of what HE really wants. Usually he's a pretty simple man and just wants to sit and read the paper drink some coffee.. Kids love to spend some time with him too, and give him their things they make at school. So we are planning the DAY AFTER for Kids Fathers day..

I always just do little things, ie fill his cup, bring him things, etc.

This is my husband's first father's day, our son is 3 weeks old. He deployed Saturday and will not be home to celebrate. I sent him a father's day package with a card from each of us, a can of mixed nuts w/ a note that said "we're nuts about you dad!", a Father to Son book, a t-shirt that says World's Greatest Dad THIS GUY!, and a keychain I made with our son's foot print and a poem on the back. It was all packaged in a cooler that says "super cool dad" :)

Sending him away for a game of golf and letting him sleep when he gets home.
Keeping the kids quiet so he is well rested before he has to leave for work at 7:30pm.
Monday we'll celebrate Fathers Day with a nice brunch for him around 10am when he gets up for a few hours after getting back home at 5:45am.
