Deciding on my Summer #Dresses #Review #Fashion #OASAP

I love new clothes and well, for me, the most important thing is that they're both comfortable and look great. With #BlogHer coming up, I needed a new wardrobe and I really wanted some new Spring dresses. I found an adorable one at OASAP. It was the Color Block Flouncing Knee Length Dress. I can't even tell you how excited I was to get this in the mail. When I tore into the package, I thought, awesome, this is definitely going to fit. And it did...except for one tiny feature...LOL!

The Model...
This dress is made of polyester and has cute sleeves, a banded waistline, and a zipper to help you get that dress on. It also has an inner skirt lining. I was actually really happy to see that there was a dress liner inside because the fabric is quite light and see-through. However, even with the liner, I ended up wearing an additional tank and ball shorts underneath. It really is quite well made, the inner layer is sewn so that it stays in place. It doesn't wrinkle and it sits quite well. Unfortunately, the dress lining was made of this non-stretchable fabric. I was in a pinch! The dress fit but apparently I have big hips and so I couldn't get the inner layer down.

I had ordered my size based on the size chart.
Bust: 87cm(S), 91cm(M), 95cm(L)
Length: 85cm(S), 87cm(M), 89cm(L)
Waist: 71cm(S), 75cm(M), 79cm(L)

I got a small and it fit everywhere...except my hips and bottom. So, I would recommend that they either update the sizes with hip measurements or go safe and order 1 size up. If the lining was stretchy, it would've been perfect. I ended up having to modify the lining a bit in order to get it down to avoid having the extra fabric making me look like I was in the 2nd trimester.

It's also not a knee length dress as described, which is fine with me. I'm only 5' 6" and it was a good 1/3 of the way up my thigh so you're looking at a mid-thigh dress. It does give good coverage on the bum but being the light fabric that it is, you do see the underwear lines. Care for this particular dress allows for machine wash but it has to be hung dry and if you'd like to iron it, it must be on the reverse side. Overall, a really pretty summer dress. They could do with more measurements but well, you live and learn, right? I'll size up next time.
