Excuse me, could you pass the #beans? #Beanfields #Snacks #Review

I am always on the lookout for healthy snacks that satisfy the craving and don't add on the pounds. My latest venture took in to the realm of beans. Why beans? LOL, beans have high fiber and protein content and a low glycemic index. In plain terms, they're healthy and slowly release energy, which is a good thing. They are also more easily grown due to the decreased water requirement and last longer, even without being placed in the fridge. So, basically, I have a long-lasting, easy to grow crop that's also healthy for me.
I was sent a variety of Beanfields snacks to review including flavors like Nacho, Pico de Gallo, Sea Salt, Sea Salt & Pepper, and Naturally Unsalted. I tore into the Nacho's the first day and the Pico de Gallo by the end of the first day. They tasted surprisingly like normal nachos. They had a more grainy texture to them and I found that I didn't mind that. They're also corn, GMO, soy, and gluten-free so they're safe for Celiacs. Each serving is about 140 calories and gives you 16% of your daily recommended fiber intake. That's pretty good if you ask me. The larger sized bags (6 oz) make up 6 servings so 1 serving is actually only 1 oz. You could easily eat over that 1 serving and not realize it. I was a little hesitant over that because I tend to be the type that finishes off whole bags of chips at a time and then go, "Oh no, what did I just do?!" Yes, these actually taste good and I can easily see myself downing the whole thing.

I was also surprised to see in the nutritional facts that there was 4% of the daily recommended amount of calcium and 6% of the daily recommended amount of iron across the board for the assorted flavors. My only problems with the snacks though is attempting to actually restrict my servings amount and the salt content. It is a tad salty for me but I also like my foods more bland. This level was perfect for the SO, so this is something that depends on your individual preferences. Overall, they would serve to be a better, healthier substitute for regular tortilla chips.

P.S. No, I did not get gas from these. ;)
