Dessert Designer ($12.95) by Dana Meachen Rau features 51 fun creations that's easy enough for kids. It's always funner when you do things together, right? And well, really, if it's easy enough for kids then a noobie like me should be able to handle it as well.
Using store-bought baked goods, simple ingredients and step-by-step instructions, the point is decorating the cake rather than cooking it. These designs are adorable and beautiful.
This book seriously looks so good, I wish I could eat the pictures. There's flowers, gift boxes, slides, roller coasters, popcorn (really, candy), baskets, and so much more! Here's a sample of the Fluffy Bunnies you could make. The creativeness is simply genius.Recommended for kids ages 9-13 but I think it could apply to so many more people. Even if I don't do exactly what they say, there are so many possibilities and ideas that could branch out from these initial instructions. I can even see this being the source of some fun Valentine's Day creations!
