Disney's Peter Pan (Run time: 77 min) has returned for it's 60th anniversary in a Diamond edition, complete with digital restoration and high definition picture and sound. I received a Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy & Storybook App -$44.99US/$51.99Cdn) to review and boy did it bring back great memories. We watched the movie during bed time, appropriate so, I might say. Who knows, maybe Peter Pan would come visit us and take us to the second star to the right too.
Once again, we fell in love with this whimsical adventure. The mischevious Peter, the forward Tinkerbell, Wendy and her adorable brothers, the lost boys, and of course, Captain Hook and the crocodile brought adventures into the night. Michael was definitely my favorite with his teddy and the canon ball he stuffed in there! Super cute! I couldn't believe I had forgotten Nana, the ever so gentle and smart nanny to the kids.
Bonus features include the Disney Intermission, Growing up with Nine Old Men short film, never-before-seen Deleted Scenes and a never-before-heard Deleted Song and much more. I really enjoyed listening to and learning about Peter Pan's introduction by Diane Disney Miller.
Peter Pan is one of three Disney movies to actually have had all nine of Walt's "nine Old Men" as directing animators so I am incredibly happy to have this classic now in my Disney collection! It'll bring laughter and magic for years to come.
Here are some quick clips of some adorable and funny moments!
