Just in time for Easter, Dreamwork's RISE OF THE GUARDIANS will be available in a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Pack with UltraViolet™ or single-disc DVD. Lucky me for receiving it early along with a fantastic viewing pack that gave us some chocolatey, Easter goodness! With each DVD Pack, you'll even find two colorful hopping toy eggs inspired by the ones seen in the film!
The all-star cast of voice talent includes Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law. For me, I found it weird and entertaining at the same time how Alec Baldwin changed his voice. It's like they were trying to make a Russian Santa.
RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is an adventure packed movie. It was fun, funny, and a great ride to tag along on. Each character had their own unique talent and method of travel. Unique personalities...let's just say North is going to change kids' perception of Santa and elves forever. Sandman was a surprising favorite, though I can't quite put my finger on why.
Jack Frost, though, he was special. It was pleasant to watch his character develop from the cold character who doesn't quite know his place or who he really is into who he was meant to be all along.
Included with these DVD packs is almost an hour of bonus features. You find the filmmakers' commentary, Sandy's Dream Guide, printable activities and more.
With a runtime of 97 minutes, I have no doubt in my mind that this is a great family movie. With the hopping eggs that they're including with the packs, I'd say it'd be great fun before the Easter Egg hunts and festivities! Grab it in stores today!
