Saving money on spring cleaning #springcleaning US 05/06

With Spring comes a part I’ve never liked...it is what’s known as Spring Cleaning. Added to that, I’m moving so it’s even more cleaning and effort than I’d like. The amount of laundry seems never ending and the neighbors often see me lugging 3 bagfuls of laundry to the laundry room. Added to that is my trusty Tide bottle. By itself, it’s fine but when I’m also trying to maneuver 3 full bags of laundry, it gets tough.

Oransi decided to help me out by sending me a Robby Wash Ball and Fridge Purifier to review. The Robby Wash laundry ball ($32.95) fits into the palm of my hand and already has in it detergent. 1 ball is touted to wash 5kg/10lbs of laundry.

The makers also say that if you are doing one load of laundry every three days for a laundry load of 5kg or less, the ball should last 1 year or 120 consecutive washes. You only need to refill the ball when the level of maco-molecule pellets is less than 75% full.

After the wash, keep the ball in an aerated area to air dry. They even say no fabric softener needed as the Robby Wash softens clothes on its own. That’s pretty impressive if you ask me.I enjoy the lightweight, space-conserving quality the Robby Wash brings. It saves me a lot of lugging heavy laundry bottles around and certainly will be saving room on the moving truck. Refills cost $49 and has enough for 2 years worth of laundry washes.

The Ionic Fridge Air Purifier ($39, currently on sale for $29) is another money saving product. It runs on 2 AA batteries that will last you for 45-90 days and does not require filter replacements. To save battery life, it cycles on and off. This was pleasant because it took care of all the stinky odors in my fridge and helps to remove bacteria, while staying ever so silent. It's a simple but stylish looking piece that does what it says.
