When it comes to pillows though, I never thought it was a big part of sleeping. After all, I rarely use pillows. I have neck pain so I tend not to prop my neck up higher with pillows.
Don't get me wrong. I have pillows. I usually roll them underneath my neck so that it passively stretches out my neck and relieves the tension built up during the day. That's if I feel ambitious. Lately though, I'm just tired and don't have that kind of effort.
I also occasionally sleep with a pillow between my knees when I sleep on my side. A hugging pillow, if you will. Other than that, I don't use much. I've also never owned any memory foam pillows. You don't want to see the sorry state my pillow is in.
Instead of propping my head up, it allowed my head to naturally sink in, conforming to my head and neck. The result, I was waking up feeling better with less neck pain.
I also haven't sweated on it. The properties of this pillow wicks heat away so my head is never too hot or too cold.
