In my hands, I have a piece of Disney-Pixar history...The adorable little Mike Wazowski has fallen into my hands on this spooky day.
I waited 11 years before I was able to watch #MonstersU in theaters and guess what, now I have this monstrous collection at home too. Ah, this hilarious and heartwarming movie of how two rivals became best friends is just a splendid addition to anyone's Halloween night or even *wink wink* a great stocking stuffer this holiday season. To be honest, I am incredibly glad that the short, "The Blue Umbrella", was also included in the DVD package because it was such an adorable short. There's a ton of bonus features besides the short, some of which include deleted scenes, scare games, story school, scare tactics...the list goes on. Monsters University = guaranteed fun and laughter. Since it's Halloween though, here are some bonus treats for you. Awesome clips with deleted scenes, fun downloadable activity sheets and an impressive pumpkin carving of Mike, amongst others.
Recon -Director Dan Scanlon discusses the deleted scene that was supposed to open the movie. Gag Sessions -Dive into Pixar and see how they come up with humor and gags for the movie. Rivalry -The potential scene where Mike and Sulley could've met in fourth grade. Now, this is talent...professional pumpkin carving. I leave you with two sets of free, downloadable Halloween Monsters University activities. As usual, click the images to download the PDF files.
Stay safe and have a spooky day!
