You all know how much I love my Marvel movies. Something about righteousness and good defeating evil and superpowers always guarantees a good time. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is already in theaters and it is not a film to miss. The hubby and I especially made time out of our busy schedule to see this. Mmmhmm, since the hubby knows how much I love these movies.

As we're approaching Mother's Day and then Father's Day very soon, I think of the times we honor our parents and get to know them more. You know how we went through the I hate you phase as kids and now that we look back, we realize how silly we were? Just a few weeks ago, I was calling my family to chat on what's new and to discuss sending the hubby home to see his family. Me? I was just going to watch the dogs and save some money on boarding and flight costs.

Don't judge...I get sucked into the Fairy movies. I love how they aren't too immature, or geared just for kids. So yes, I watched the Pirate Fairy and loved it. In fact, I was so absorbed into watching it with the hubby that I was almost late for work. He actually had to stop me and force me to get ready for work.

Easter gets me thinking about several things from my childhood. Well, chocolate eggs is an easy one, of course. My favorite were the Cadbury Mini Eggs. I still indulge in them now and again. When you think Easter, you also think of the Easter Bunny. However, there used to be a game my brother and I played when we were little.

Maleficient has been a topic of discussion at work quite a bit recently. I was somewhat surprised to hear one of my older colleagues say Maleficent was a movie that he was really excited for. When I say older, I mean he's more late 60's and grandfather to many adorable children. It goes to show that many, of all ages and backgrounds, are excited for Maleficient. We all know the story of Sleeping Beauty but we never really got to know Maleficent, the villain. What made her pure heart turn to stone?
