Have you ever walked around on shoes that felt like pillows? I have! Do you have to stand or walk all day at work? Do you want to look good while feeling great? I have an awesome discovery for you. It was new to me and I was shocked. Vionic shoes have breakthrough Orhatheel technology in every single pair of shoes, whether they be casual, dress, sandals and even slippers!
With the support designed by Podiatrists and approval by both Dr. Andrew Weil (integrative medicine specialist) and the APMA (American podiatric medical association), you really can't go wrong. Poor foot support can lead to various aches and pains. Vionic shoes support our natural foot arch and allow our feet to realign, thus preventing foot, leg, knee and even lower back pain.
Being that it's summer, I zoned in to the sandals. The styles were adorable and I couldn't wait to get them. I ended up choosing the White Rio Adjustable Wedge ($139.95, currently on sale for $83.99), which only comes in full sizes. So if you're an in between size, I'd recommend going up to the next full size.
The Rio wedge features:
-Leather uppers with microfiber-covered footbed.
-Leather-wrapped wedge.
-Faux wood grain wedge with rubber inserts on the outsole for improved traction.
The shoes did require some breaking in, more-so for the leather uppers. The straps were a bit tight until the leather naturally stretched out from gentle wear, that probably took about a week's time. Once worn in, they were ridiculously comfortable. I actually told my friends, they felt like walking on pillows!
In terms of comfort, they easily win over my closet of dress shoes. I wore them every day during a 3 day conference with days stretching over 12 hours long with lots of walking and standing. Amazingly, my feet were awesome at the end of the day compared to everyone else. Simply put, my feet were happy, very very happy. They are easily my go-to shoes when I don't need to wear closed toe shoes. I go to work in them, I come home and walk the dogs in them. They're just that comfortable! Plus, my wedges make for such a perfect summer look.
Would I recommend them? Oh yes! They're comfy, functional, stylish, and great for my feet. I think Vionic is going to be a growing name in my shoe collection.
