The days are starting earlier and brighter. The glow of the emerging sun as I leave for work in the mornings fills me with warmth and acts as a gentle reminder that winter is almost over. It's that time of year to shift my wardrobe into something more fitting. No more Michelin man outfits! At the same time, I take a step back and remind myself, it's not quite summer yet so don't go crazy and dress too lightly. Monroe and Main really has a fantastic selection glamourously fit for Spring for both you and me!

When you work long hours and have to dress up, comfort is a must. My love affair with various brands including Monroe and Main make it possible to have the best of both worlds...unique fashion that screams that it's you and comfort that makes you want to sink back and relax.

For Spring, I wanted something that was conservative enough to go to work but still had that stunning flare and simply stated, "Spring, ready or not, here I come!" The outfit I composed with ease fabulously complemented my mood.

Let's chat about the core of my outfit first. Three words describe the Great Estate Suit...sophisticated, feminine, and chic. Don't let people tell you suits are a man thing. I don't wear them often but when they fit right, they look and feel fantastic. The Great Estate Jacket, Top, and Pant combine together a floral and elegant mix.

The dark deep red wine color known as bordeaux richly accents this suit to make it unique, yet not too crazy. I particularly love the floral swirls embedded in the fabric that give it that extra oomph, it's the true mark of a fashionista who dares to go unique.

The Great Estate Jacket and Great Estate Pant are both dry clean only and are made of a polyester/spandex combination that give for superior stretch and comfort. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the pants were and how they shifted with my every step. The pant is an ankle-height cut which pairs great with booties and are slim fitted enough to fit well inside boots as well. The jacket was a tad large on me and are meant to lengthen the figure. I have longer legs than body so it worked alright but would've been better if it was more slim fitted to my waist and was a tad shorter. In terms of sizing, the smallest size was a 6, which worked great with the bottom but as I mentioned before, the jacket was a tad big.

The Great Estate Top is fluttery and beautiful, accented by a gorgeous mosaic of beads across the neckline and straps. Lightweight and made of polyester, it is hand wash only. This top goes fantastic with the suit as a whole but it can also be paired for a casual dressy night out with jeans or shorts. A size small was a nice flowing loose fit on me and was perfect.

An outfit isn't truly complete without the perfect accessories. Dangly earrings are like my peanut butter to jelly when it comes to outfits. I spotted these fabulous glam Crystal Chandelier Earrings and couldn't resist the elegant swirls accented by black and clear sparkling crystals that dangled a beautiful 5 1/2" long.

To complete the outfit, I needed pockets. Women's outfits often frustrate me because there are no pockets. Never fear, I picked up a cost conscious set of 2 English Leather Clutch Wallets in black and burgundy for just $15.95 to alternate out with my outfits. The soft leather texture was smooth to the touch and it had ample space to carry my ID's, credit cards and money. Each features a snap close front as well as 2 zippered off areas. They were quite lovely to have. The only feedback I have for them was that despite the measurements being provided as 6 3/4" l x 4 1/2" w, the pictures had them depicted as a bit longer than it really is in real life. These wallets would look even better if they were a couple inches longer. This outfit can be made dressy for work and easily transition to a night out with friends. Best of all, it doesn't sacrifice fashion for comfort!

Spring is a fantastic time to switch up your wardrobe and Monroe and Main really has it all. They have the selection and more importantly, they have the customer service to truly make themselves great. I had a couple of flaws with my order including one of my earrings had a missing crystal and one that was fallen off and my top having a gem partially falling off. Honestly, I was a bit bummed since they were supposed to be brand new. What totally blew me away though was the service I received and the speed of their responses. It was the weekend and I received prompt responses and they provided me with a shipping label to return the flaw items and are shipping me new items! You can't go wrong!
