I've decided on a fantastic theme for our Spring Fashionista Event. When the weather has just started to warm up but it hasn't quite gotten there yet, a hat is always handy to have. I present to you must haves for a casual chic look! 5 Must Have Items for a Casual Chic Look
1) A Savvy Hat -Personally I love the Scottevest TEC Hat. It features one velcro pocket under the brim that stores the bills and keys and another zippered pocket on the side that works with cards and coins. The zipper is located on the outside and would be visible, however I love that you can get the hat without the logo to be more discreet. A velcro bands allows size adjustment. It is machine washable!

2) Casual Chic Jacket -A jacket that is feminine and flattering yet durable for all sorts of trouble works great and Scottevest's Molly Jacket, that features 17 separate pockets. Like other Scottevest products, I am in love with the pockets, versatility and of course, the look! The belted waist helps to accentuate my figure, however is also the only thing that bothers me with this jacket because it wraps all the way around to my mid-back.
What's impressive about this jacket is the wrinkle-free material that's Teflon-treated to be water and stain resistance so you don't ever have to worry about ruining your look. Machine-washable and iPad compatible, you can easily switch to a minimalist look with the jacket/hat combo by leaving your purse at home. Everything will fit in these 2 simple items. The jacket is likely best suited for mid-Spring to mid-fall and gives ample space for layering. An adorable detail is the pink lining that also glimpses out of the sleeves.

3) Purse -I'm a huge fan of big slouchy purses partly because I love the storage and they add an aura of sophistication to your outfit. However, if you're going for the minimalist chic look, ditch the purse at home. There's more than enough pockets in the Molly Jacket and TEC hat.
4) Jeans -Jeans are fabulous to dress up or down. They've just got that rugged feel to it.
5) Booties -Glam it up with a pair of booties. Isn't it funny how a simple pair of shoes can completely upgrade a look?
