I have the feeling that I've been trapped in 4 walls for the last couple of months. LOL, work has been crazy and I'm antsy. I need my movie fix and I can't get enough of Marvel! Unless you've been living under a rock, you know Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron is already in theatres everywhere and is a must watch in my books. Avengers brings together so many great superheroes and characters, united to fight for a common cause. Ohh, the thought sends shivers down my spine.
That's not it though, there's such a huge line up of amazing movies coming up for those of you who love the action, the sci-fi, and so on.
Head into the future of possibilities with Tomorrowland, in theatres May 22. As a child and even now, I loved going to Tomorrowland, partly because Space Mountain (now Ghost Galaxy) was there. I love the possibility of the limitless future, anything can happen.
For teens, Tomorrowland has an even greater possibility. XPRIZE Challenge is having a video contest for 8-17 year olds to imagine themselves in the future and report back to the present through video, imagery or stories about one new and amazing invention or innovation they encounter, how it works, and the impact it has on the future. Six Winners will have a once–in-a-lifetime mentorship experience with a leader in their area of interest, a $3,000 check, a 3D Printer from 3D Systems, and registration for FIRST® LEGO® League 2015-2016 competition season.
This is the future...it is what we make of it. Watch George Clooney and the director, Brad Bird, describe what the movie is about.
Almost as futuristic, but perhaps lighter with humour is Inside Out. How I wish I could read minds. Pixar developed a brilliant new movie, that may just tell you how the insides of our minds work. Check it out June 19th.
Of course, being a great Marvel year as it has already been, July 17th brings yet another Marvel hero to the big screens...Ant-Man!
One more piece of exciting Marvel news too before I fast forward to a wintery chill. Captain America: Civil War, the third instalment of the Captain America series is now in production! The lucky folks in the Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia get to bask in all that superhero goodness. It is slated to hit the big screens May 2016, just a year away!
Mmhmm, when I say winter, you say Frozen! Yep, that's another huge comeback. There isn't a single person who doesn't know Anna and Elsa or at least heard of Frozen. They're making a Frozen 2!
Phew, now that I got the news out of my system, someone needs to take me to the theater so that I can get my fix.
