As you know, charitable causes are near and dear to my heart and I do love supporting a good cause. JR was an adopted dog and she had made a world of difference in our lives. Adoption and rescue is some of what the ASPCA has done for many years; in fact, they've reached their 150th anniversary in April. In honour of this amazing feat of love and rescue, they have been celebrating with 150 Days of Rescue. 150 Days of Rescue is a nationwide action campaign that hopes to unite the country in making a difference in the lives of homeless and abused animals. Join in and make a difference in those that do not have a voice to cry for help.
A recent story that completely breaks my heart is the story of an abandoned dog and the love, care and generosity that people have provided. This particular dog was dumped at the side of the road by his owners. Unfortunately, I do not know where. This loyal dog has day after day braved the weather, no matter what it be...rain, blistering hot temperatures, refusing to stay under shelter for fear that his owners will not see him when they come to pick him up. Luckily for him, generous and kind strangers are now leaving him food and umbrellas for a makeshift shelter. Some have even tried to take him home feeling sorry for the dog, however he has not allowed strangers to pick him up, sadly because he still believes that they will come get him. The story is truly heartbreaking and morally wrong.
Join in with ASPCA and help dogs like this poor guy.

I adopted JR from a shelter and it is one of the best decisions of my life. What are you doing to help?
