The transition from summer to fall is always a challenging one. There's the anticipation for the change in seasons and the colourful scenery that blossoms. Yet there's a bit of hesitation as fall comes with the realization that the brutal cold is that much closer. However, that's not all. Fall always brings with it the fun transitional pieces that accent and complement our wardrobe. Here are our tips to help ease outfits transition from summer to fall.
5 Tips to Ease Your Summer to Fall Outfit Transition
2) Booties -Ah, I start transitioning into my booties summer to fall. However, I also have some perfect summer booties. Anyways, there are some gorgeous summer to fall booties out there that work so well with so many outfits. Take for example, my latest love from Musse and Cloud, the Caila boot. These boots match everything...from my casual dressy outfits to a comfortable yet trendy look to even just a casual walking the dogs look. The Caila boot has a leather upper and lining along with a synthetic sole, however has adorable cut outs to allow for an airy feel. The 4" boot shaft and 1" heel give it a slightly more sophisticated look, yet the adjustable hook-and-loop straps make taking them on and off easy. At the beginning, I was worried about the straps since it did scratch a bit on my ankles, but as the leather wore in, they quickly became one of my favorite shoes. In fact, I have been wearing them for travel as well. My Caila's have been that comfortable, go-to booties that you can't leave home without. You can't blame me for that, it's like I'm walking on clouds with them.
4) Trenches/Rain Jackets -Is it just me or has it been raining more recently? I feel like every other day, the clouds are out and it pours. A nice trench jacket is great for adding a layer of warmth yet isn't too heavy to carry when the temperature warms.
5) Leggings -Oh ya, it's time to pull those out of the closet and drawers again. Leggings can be subtle or they can be intricately styled. They're a great way to tone down a bold outfit or boost a more simple outfit. Either way, the looks are fantastic and they keep our legs warm as we transition into fall.
