Mulan has always struck a cord with me and I am so excited that it's finally being brought to a live action version by Disney. It was one of those early Disney movies that featured a strong female heroine...not only any heroine, but an Asian heroine. I L-O-V-E that Hollywood is finally bringing more non-stereotypical Asians to the big screens. It's about time!

Mulan was one of my favorites growing up so you can bet I'll be checking it out when it comes. Here's a teaser trailer of the epic tale of a fearless young women who risks everything to save her family and fight her destiny. It has morals, honor, love, integrity, loyalty - everything that I value as a human being and something that we all need!

Photo Credit: DisneyInteresting, the cast has some names that I am familiar and yet not familiar with. Donnie Yen  and Jet Li plays Commander Tung and the Emperor respectively. They're both well known martial arts actors that I love to watch. I was thinking Liu Yifei looked familiar, she was on “Once Upon a Time” as well so a good fit for the live action version as well! I'm hoping there'll be more of where this came from!
