I have no idea how summer sped by and is almost gone already! Hopefully, every one had time to make some good memories this summer with their families. If your kids took a break this summer, get them ready for school again with some award-winning reference titles from National Geographic Kids!
We've been familiar with some of these books before and they're a staple in our home library.
Inside our Nat Geo Kids Back to School Collection, there is:
Animal Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition: 2,500 Animals with Photos, Maps and More! (ages 8-12, hardcover, $24.99) - This encyclopedia is absolutely beautiful and has been updated and reviewed by various experts to keep the information up-to-date and accurate. Kid and adults alike learn about various animals, their habitats, migration patterns and fabulous learning featuring 2500 species. I have to admit this is one book we don't always read in order because our preschooler will choose an animal species he wants to learn about and we'll flip to that page.
Treasury of Greek Mythology: Classic Stories of Gods, Goddesses, Heroes and Monsters by Donna Jo Napoli, art by Chritina Balit (ages 8-12, hard cover, $24.95) -This Treasury of Greek Mythology has won some honors including A School Library Journal Best Book, Eureka! Silver Honor Book, and more! I've always loved Greek mythology...there's something intriguing about it and some of our other reads has gotten our preschooler interested in Greek mythology as well. This is such an artistically drawn book with such information about the tales of gods and goddesses and their stories.
5,000 Awesome Facts (About Everything!) (ages 8-12, hardcover, $19.99) - This book is such a classic and a favorite of ours because it is a treasure trove of fun and interesting facts. There is just so much information that kids and adults alike love reading about. There's something about everything and not limited to one specific genre so all in the family are sure to find something new to learn about.
NG Kids Almanac 2023 (ages 8-12, paperback, $15.99) -Did you know this is the #1 selling kids almanac on the planet and a New York TImes Bestseller? I love how this gets updated annually. This almanac always has such fun facts. There's a page on fun dates to celebrate this upcoming 2023 year.
Get ready for #BacktoSchool with #NatGeoKidsBooks and this fabulous collection of reading material that's bound to entertain your kids, young and old. There's nothing better than interesting books that encourage kids to start reading again.
